National Marking Practices:

As weapons are not produced in the Republic of Tajikistan, no national weapon marking system exists in the country.

Marking at the time of import:

Marking of SALW in the possession of government armed and security forces:


Measures against the removal or alteration of markings:

Manufacturing, stockpiling, transferring and possessing of unmarked or improperly branded weapons have not been reported in the Republic of Tajikistan

 
 
 


Accurate and comprehensive records for all marked SALW within their territory:

Enterprises, institutions and organizations which use weapons shall keep records (weapon’s type, dates: given, received back, ammunition provided, etc.) through procedures set by the Ministry of Interior of RT.

 
 
 


Measures taken for undertaking traces and responding to tracing requests:

As the Republic of Tajikistan is not a member of the International Organization of Criminal Police (Interpol), the concerned law-enforcement bodies of the Republic of Tajikistan do not use the Interpol database for tracking weapons and explosives worldwide.
