Module IV of the “Training the trainers” course was originally inspired by CICAD, the need to implement the 1997 CIFTA Convention (II; XI; XII; XIII 1 a, b, c, d, e, 2,3; XIV 1,2 a, b, c; XV 1,2 a, b, c; XVI; XVIII), the United Nations Programme for Action 2001 (II 2,4,6,27,37; III 5,7,9,15,18; IV 1,d) and the Model Regulations (IV 9.3,9.5,9.9). The objective is to inform participants of the various illicit firearms and ammunition trafficking investigation and intelligence procedures carried out by countries in the region, whether separately or jointly, and to assess these. |
