Module VII of the “Training the Trainers” course was originally inspired by the need to implement the 1997 CIFTA Convention (XV 1,2; XVI; II; XIII 1,2,3; XIV; XI;), the 2001 UN Programme of Action (II 4,23,27,36,37; III 2,7,8,9 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 34) and the Model Regulations (IV 9.1,9.2,9.3,9.4). The objective is to provide the user with general knowledge of practical measures and procedures related to resources to facilitate firearms and ammunition tracing. It presents detailed information illustrating examples such as UN-LiREC’s SALSA database, INTERPOL’s IWETS and I 24/7 databases, ATF e-mail trace system, and the Royal Canadian Mountain Police database. |
